HISTORY

This is a photograph of the Tyabb airport, taken in January, 1990. A member of the Peninsula Aero Club set off a ‘big bang’ to celebrate the land acquisition needed to the south. In July 1994, the diversion of Olivers Creek, originally undertaken in 1872, was filled as a part of the $1,000,000 drainage works to stop flooding of Tyabb and the airport.
