HISTORYThis motor vehicle is one of the cars in the Hastings-Western Port Historical Societies’ entry for the Hastings Day held on 23/02/2002. The McIntyre car is a 1907 model and is being driven by Warwick Bayley. This information is written on the back of the photograph.
DESCRIPTIONThis image shows a vintage motor vehicle driving down the middle of the street. The man driving the car is dressed in vintage clothes. He is wearing a blue, long-sleeved shirt, wide tie, braces and a cap. A little girl is sitting beside him, also wearing vintage clothes. She has a pink dress with big puff sleeves and a white bonnet with a long tie at the neck. She is waving and smiling for the camera. The car is black with red wheels. Written on the front in gold lettering is: “McIntyre”. A sign is tied to the front of the vehicle which reads: “Hastings-Western Port Historical Society Incorporated”. Part of another vintage motor vehicle with a similar sign at the front is following. People and shops line the street on the left-hand side. The shop that the vehicle is passing is “Hastings Home Hardware”.
