HISTORY

This photograph was taken in March, 2002 of the partly built Commonwealth building for the Department of Social Security on the corner of High Street and Arthur Streets, Hastings. The building was constructed in March and April, 2002. This information is written on the back of the photograph.

DESCRIPTION

This image shows a construction side and a partly built concrete building. The top of a tall crane can be seen behind the building and a bitumen street is in the foreground. Two sets of power lines are across the top of the building and trees can be seen on the left-hand side of the image. A large shadow from a tree is across the street. Windswept clouds are in the top half of the image.
