HISTORY

This photograph was taken in March, 2002 of the partly built Commonwealth building for the Department of Social Security on the corner of High Street and Arthur Streets, Hastings. The building was constructed in March and April, 2002. The photo was taken from High Street, at the corner of Arthur Street. This information is written on the back of the photograph.

DESCRIPTION

This image shows a construction site and a partly built concrete building. The top of a tall crane can be seen behind the building and a bitumen street is in the foreground. Power lines are across the top of the building and trees can be seen on the left-hand side of the image. Shadows from trees are across the street. A silver coloured sedan motor car is driving along the street. Windswept clouds are in the top half of the image.
