HISTORYThese motor vehicles are in High Street, Hastings and are the Hastings-Western Port Historical Societies’ entry for the Hastings Day held on 23/02/2002. The leading vehicle is a 1928 Overland Whippet owned by David Mason. The following 1907 McIntyre car is owned by Russ White. The third McIntyre car is owned by Warwick Bayley and the last green car is an 1928 Oldsmobile owned by Brian Redfern.
DESCRIPTIONThis image shows four vintage motor cars lined up on a street, waiting to proceed. The first car is yellow with a black soft top and yellow wheel spokes. The second car is black with a soft black top and very large red wheels. The third vehicle is the same but without a top. These two vehicles have the word “McIntyre” on the front in gold writing. The last vintage car is green with a black soft top and green wheel spokes. All cars have a sign attached to the front which reads: “Hastings-Western Port Historical Society Incorporated”. A man can be seen sitting in the passenger seat of the yellow car and a girl in the third car. People are standing talking beside the cars on the footpath. Part of a car can be seen behind the green car and several cars are parked on the right-hand side of the photograph. Trees are in the background and the bitumen street is in the foreground.
