HISTORY

This is a 100 ton cylinder being transported on a semi-trailer. Its dimensions are 60’ x 6’ x 5” thick MS. Overall length - prime mover and loader is 115’ + 2 pusher trucks. Total weight, 135 tons. This information is written on the back of the photograph in blue ink. The number 3234 is stamped on the back.

DESCRIPTION

This image shows a very large cylinder on a semitrailer with a truck at the rear. Another truck is on the road in the distance. Two men are walking away from each other beside the vehicles. A large sign is on the top of the semitrailer roof which reads: “DANGER-LONG-WIDE-LOAD”. Trees can be seen behind the vehicles and grass and a bitumen road is in the foreground. Two driveways with small posts can be seen across the footpath. An electricity wife is across the top of the image.
