HISTORYThis photograph was taken in the back yard of the Hastings Museum. The gun is a 40 pounder Armstrong Gun which had just been restored, with the wheels made by Cambridge Carriage Company of Gosford. NSW. This gun was one of four, 40 pound guns which came to Hastings in the 1890s because of the perceived Russian invasion threat. The wagon was only on loan to the museum and had since been returned.
