Written on the back of the photograph in black pen is: “Crew of yacht “Kestrel” (R.Y.C.V.) at Cape Woolami on Wednesday December 27th 1916 Xmas Cruise 1916 To Arthur with Fr. Noel Toohey’s compliments”. “Feb 2 1917” is also stamped on the back.

DESCRIPTION

This image shows four young men sitting on large rocks with sand dunes in the background. The man on the left-hand side has his eyes closed and his hands are in the pockets of his coat. The man next to him is dressed all in white and has one foot up on a rock. The other two men are dressed in white shirts, darker trousers and have a dark coloured jumper tied around their necks. The man second from the right is holding a rifle. All men are wearing hats.
