HISTORYThis building is the Hastings Hall. The Hastings Shire Council set up temporary offices in the supper room of the hall in the 1960s. The Council used the hall until the new Shire Offices were erected in 1963. The hall was also used by the local Court of Petty Sessions.
DESCRIPTIONThis image shows a woman standing in the doorway of a small weatherboard building, looking at the camera. Only part of the building is visible. One window is on the left of the building and three windows can be seen down the side of the building. A sign above the door reads: “Shire Engineer Shire Secretary”. Another sign is on the wall beside a window. Three air vents are on the roof. Large trees are in the background on the right-hand side of the image and small plants are across the front of the building. A sedan motor car is parked on the driveway on the right-hand side of the building. Its number plate is “RZ 827”.
