HISTORYThe Minister for Local Government, the Hon. Murray Porter MLA is swearing in the newly elected Councillors for the Somerville and Hastings Ridings. The men are from left to right: D.M. Thompson, J.A. Babington, A.A. Alden, G.L. Pentreath, H.A. Gallus and M. O’Sullivan. This was the first council for the Shire of Hastings.
