HISTORYThese are the first councillors of the newly constituted Shire of Hastings. The first president, Cr. Douglas Maxwell Thompson is sitting at the center of the front row. The councillors are: back row: J.A. Babington, M. O’Sullivan, J. Langman, G.L. Pentreathy, G.G.A. Downward, J.B. Paton and W.T. Long. front row: G.D. Gorrie, A.A. Alden, D.M. Thompson, W.G. Myers and H.C. Gallus.
