HISTORYThis photograph of the Hastings Soldier’s Memorial was taken in 1929 when the new foreshore was opened. The Western Port can be seen in the far distance.
DESCRIPTIONThis photograph shows a memorial standing in the middle of the image behind a brick, stone and chain fence which runs the full width of the photograph. A tall electricity pole is on the right-hand side and buildings can be seen behind it in the far distance. A tree stands to the right of the memorial. Bare ground is seen on either side of the fence.
