HISTORY

This photograph was taken at the inauguration of the first President of the Shire of Hastings, Cr. Douglas Maxwell Thompson. The five men represent five Shire Presidents. They are as follows: left to right: Cr Russell Smith, Cranbourne; Cr Croad, Flinders; Cr Douglas Maxwell Thompon, Hastings; Cr Neil Jones, Mornington; and Cr John Bowes, Frankston.

DESCRIPTION

This image shows five men standing, taken from the knees up, posing for a photograph. All men are dressed in suits, white shirts and ties. They are all smiling for the camera. The man on the far right-hand side is shaking hands with the man in the center of the photograph.
