HISTORY

This is the Hastings War Memorial on the foreshore in 1924. The Western Port is in the background. The memorial was added to and improved in January, 1929. Stamped on the back in blue ink is: ‘v 360 Kodak Print’.

DESCRIPTION

This image shows a memorial standing in the centre of the photograph, on bare ground, surrounded by a timber and wire-netting fence. Mangroves and water can be seen in the background and land in the far distance.
