HISTORYThis butcher shop belonged to the Perrott family. Frederick George Perrott took over the Hastings butchery from Mr Peddle in 1883. He died on 05/07/1931.
DESCRIPTIONThis image shows a butcher shop with four men working on bench tops and a woman standing at the cash register. The men are wearing white shirts and stripped aprons with a knife belt and holster around their hip. A large white set of weighing scales sit on the end of the front counter. The walls are decorated with bunches of dried plants, signs and pictures. Sawdust is on the floor.
