HISTORYThe Hastings Hall is decorated for the visit of the Australian Prime Minister, Sir Robert Menzies and his wife Dame Patti. The occasion was the inaugural opening of the Hastings Day Celebrations on 14th October, 1969. They also visited the BP Refinery and HMAS Cerberus.
DESCRIPTIONThis image shows the frontage of a brick building with the large letters across the top “HASTINGS HALL”. A covered entrance to the large glass doors is at the centre of the image. Three large sets of windows are on either side of the entrance. An Australian flag is flying on a flag pole on the right-hand side of the building. Flags and bunting are across the front of the building. A stone fence is on either side of the building. A footpath and street are in the foreground.
