This image shows a tall chimney stack with a door in the centre and a ladder along the right-hand side from the bottom to the top. Grey smoke swirls around the base. Four men wearing red helmets and red long-sleeved shirts with the words ‘Able Blasting’ printed on the back are watching the blast. One man is holding onto a German Shepherd dog. A silver tank on a small tower is to the left of the chimney stack. Part of a white van can be seen on the left-hand side and part of two storey building brick building with windows across the front can be seen on the far right-hand side of the image. Trees are in the background. Written in black ink on white paper at the bottom of the mounting board is: “..going....”. ‘D.M. Thompson Collection’ is printed in silver at the bottom.
