HISTORYThis train was going to Port Melbourne loaded with local fruit, mainly apples, from the Coolstores in Hastings. Stamped on the back are the numbers “6” and “37”. Also the printers round stamp: “Printed by Harringtons” is stamped on the back in purple ink.
DESCRIPTIONThis image shows the side view of at least ten goods carriages parked beside a railway platform. They disappear into the distance. The sides of the carriages have louvre panels. Part of a structure and tall tree branches can be seen on the far right-hand side of the image. Written in ink at the top of the photograph is: “Hastings 1933”.
