HISTORYThis is the new Jelbart Steam Roller for the Frankston & Hastings shire. The man with the pitch fork is Hughie Carmichael.
DESCRIPTIONThis image shows five men posing for a photo in front of a large steam roller. One man is sitting on the machine, three men are standing beside the large back wheel and one man is crouching on the ground, holding a pitchfork. All the men are wearing hats except for the man standing on the right-hand side who is wearing a cap. The following words are printed across the side of the steam roller: “Jelbart Roller Shire of Frankston & Hastings”. A motor cycle is standing beside a tall wooden fence on the far left-hand side. Part of a small building can be seen behind the men and tall trees are in the background.
