HISTORYThis is the jetty at Stony Point, on the Western Port. Is is a photograph from a Rose Series postcard. It is from the Bill Crosbie Album.
DESCRIPTIONThis image shows seven men fishing on a jetty. Several other people can be seen in the distance on the jetty. Three cars are parked nearby. The dark coloured car has its front door open. White railings, two small wooden boats and timber boards are in the foreground. A large winch is on the far left-hand side of the jetty. Buildings and trees can be seen in the far background on the right-hand side. Printed across the bottom of the photograph is: “The Rose Series P. 1846 Copyright View from pier, Stony Point, Vic.”.
