HISTORYThis young man is Harold Harding Booth. He was born in 1886 and died in 1964. He was a fireman at Stony Point in 1912 and often drove the train between Stony Point and Hastings. He won the amateur bike race Warrnambool to Melbourne in 1908. The photograph comes from Valda Booth Collection.
DESCRIPTIONThis image shows a studio photo of a young man sitting on a bicycle. He is wearing black bicycle shorts, a sleeveless top and bicycle shoes which are strapped to the pedals. His hair is parted on the left. He is leaning forward and gripping the handlebars which are turned upside down. He is looking at the camera with a serious expression on his face.
