HISTORYThis was the last train pulled by a steam engine to pull into the Stony Point Station.
DESCRIPTIONThis image shows a stream strain stopped at a station. There are three passenger carriages and part of the guard’s van can be seen at the rear. A boy is hanging on to the outside of the first carriage. Part of another boy is stepping into the picture on the far left-hand side. Steam is escaping from the engine. The letter ‘K’ and the number ‘150’ is on the front of the engine. Printed across the front of the engine is: ‘Cannon Ball 6 R.I.P.’. A second rail track is in the foreground and tall trees are behind the train. Part of the platform, a fence and a motor vehicle can be seen on the far right-hand side of the image.
