HISTORY

This badge was one of a collection of badges and medals collected by Mrs May Cochran and consists mainly of memorabilia associated with the Great War (W.W.I) and commemorative events in the early twentieth century history of Australia and Victoria. Badge issued in commemoration of King George's Day.

DESCRIPTION

Circular shaped badge with a tin concave back and a metal pin. The front of the badge is decorated with a picture of King George V, mostly in the colours of blue, yellow and red against a white background. The print reads "KING GEORGES DAY". The word "Copyright" appears at the bottom of the badge in white against a blue background.
