HISTORY

Original bell came from England c. 1862 and was probably adapted and used as a cowbell by the Robert Turner family. It was lost near the Devilbend reservoir, found and donated by Doug Thompson of Moorooduc.

DESCRIPTION

Circular shaped brass bell with slightly concave straight sides. The top of the bell is flat. There is an elongated strap of metal which has been bolted to the top of the bell. This piece is a later addition and not part of the original construction.
