HISTORY

This cornet belonged to Dave Mentiplay who played it in the 6th Battery AFA Hastings military band during World War 1. It was manufactured in France and known as a class B.

DESCRIPTION

Brass cornet with flared trumpet shaped funnel, three keys and a circular mouth piece. The instrument shows evidence of extensive use, is very dented and has some pieces missing.
