HISTORY

This cricket bat was used in the 4th Test match of Australia vs. England in Melbourne in 1921. It was presented to David (Dobbin) Reid, a "Hastings legend in cricket".

DESCRIPTION

Rectangular shaped wooden cricket bat with a cross section triangular in shape. The end of the bat is rounded. The handle is cylindrical and covered with black tape. One side of the bat is covered with 32 autographs written in black ink. The other side bears the makers mark and an engraving of the owner's name.
