HISTORYThis series of eight snap shots was produced by The Rose Stereograph Co. for Ralph G. Mentiplay, a newsagent and grocer in Hastings. These photos consisted of eight different views of Hastings. The photos were taken by Mr R. Malouf in 1939. Printed at the bottom of the photo is: “Hastings Pier”.
DESCRIPTIONThis image shows a jetty running out into the water. Rail tracks run down the centre of the jetty and a white timber railing is on either side. Part of a shed can be seen in the foreground on the left-hand side. Fishing boats are on either side of the jetty. People can be seen walking along the jetty. Land can be seen in the far distance.
