HISTORY

This vase would have been used in a domestic situation for holding flowers such as roses.

DESCRIPTION

Square shaped vase with curved sides, standing on four feet. The glaze is a multicoloured swirl pattern consisting of blue, green, orange, yellow and brown. The opening is circular in shape and a circular metal lid which has been painted a bronze colour fits over the opening. The lid is covered in a grid or mesh pattern
