HISTORY

This needle book was a replica of the gold needle case given to Her Majesty the Queen on May 2nd 1924 when the Royal party visited the British Empire Exhibition, Wembley.

DESCRIPTION

Small brown leather booklet, rectangular in shape, with an image of a girl embossed on the front and the words “The Flora MacDonald Needlebook” printed in gold surrounding the image. The booklet is kept closed with a leather strap and brown metal stud. Inside the booklet is a sheet of printed paper and a piece of cloth containing 5 sewing needles.
