DESCRIPTIONRailway wall clock used for employees to “Clock on”. Wide oblong box holds the mechanism, with a hinged lid on either side to access the mechanism. The large round clock face is attached to the box, and has, below the hands, another small brass clock face with protruding small metal pieces around the outside of the face. Numbers are in Roman numerals and on the small clock face the numbers are anticlockwise.
On the large clock are the words “T. Gaunt, Melbourne and Sydney”
The clock is timber, with timber veneer on the outside of the box. On the inside of one of the lids is marked in pencil. “Sept 17/05”
