HISTORY

This photo of the Ladies Comfort Station at Hastings was taken in 1939. This series of eight snap shots was produced by The Rose Stereograph Co. for Ralph G. Mentiplay, a newsagent and grocer in Hastings. These photos consisted of eight different views of Hastings. The photos were taken by Mr R. Malouf.

DESCRIPTION

This image shows a small white building with a tiled roof. A door and a window is on the front wall and another window is on side wall. A plaque is above the door and a lamp is on the wall between the door and window. Part of a tall pole is on the left-hand side of the image and trees are on both sides and behind the building. A road is in the foreground. Printed across the bottom is: “Ladies Comfort Station, Hastings”.
