HISTORYThis photo of the Jetty at Hastings was taken in 1939. It is one of a series of eight snap shots produced by The Rose Stereograph Co. for Ralph G. Mentiplay, a newsagent & grocer in Hastings. These photos consisted of eight different views of Hastings. The photos were taken by Mr R. Malouf.
DESCRIPTIONThis image depicts a wooden boat with a tall mast returning to the jetty. Three people are on board. There are a number of people standing on the pier. The backs of a man and woman are in the foreground. Land can be seen in the far distance. Printed across the top of the photo is: “Back from the fishing grounds, Hastings”.
