HISTORY

Bottled in 1911, in imperial whiskey bottle. Picked up in Western Port, identified by Mr Carl Bryant local fisherman as those of the spotted swell shark. “Furgaelus Ventralis”. Donated to HHS by Petersen family.

DESCRIPTION

Clear oblong glass whiskey bottle with rounded top, sealed with a cork. Bottle contains 4 shark’s eggs , preserved in unknown brown liquid. Label attached to bottle says “Port Jackson Shark’s Eggs”.
