HISTORY

A local citizen of Stony Point applying to lease a piece of Crown land for private purposes

DESCRIPTION

A letter written to Mr R F Peterson by the Secretary of Lands in reply to an application for the lease of a piece of land on the foreshore at the Stony Point jetty for the purpose of building an ice-house. The addressee’s name and place is at the bottom of the letter and the letter is dated Melbourne 19th October 1898 and signed by a proxy for the Secretary of Lands whose signature is illegible.
