HISTORY

Harry Rust worked as a groom and horseman on various properties in Victoria in the 1870’s and 1880’s. He was the father of Ruby Rust, later Mrs Ruby Barclay, and was later to become caretaker of the Royal Agricultural Showgrounds in Queensland

DESCRIPTION

A handwritten reference by [Christian name illegible] Wilson for Harry Rust, a groom on Mr Wilson’s station, possibly Mount Erin at Chepstow. Dated Sept 5th 1877.
