HISTORY

Harry Rust worked as a groom and horseman on various properties in Victoria in the 1870’s and 1880’s. He was the father of Ruby Rust, later Mrs Ruby Barclay, and was later to become caretaker of the Royal Agricultural Showgrounds in Queensland

DESCRIPTION

A letter written by Thomas Robertson to Harry Rust (headed “Dear Harry”), enclosing a reference and advising him about future employment. Undated, but presumably written at the same time as the reference, which is dated 23rd February 1886.
