HISTORY

Harry Rust worked as a groom and horseman on various properties in Victoria in the 1870’s and 1880’s. He was the father of Ruby Rust, later Mrs Ruby Barclay, and was later to become caretaker of the Royal Agricultural Showgrounds in Queensland

A reference written by Thomas Robertson of Taganmain for Harry Rust, who worked for Mr Robertson as a groom, coachman, and caring for the horses. Dated Glenalvie, Queenscliff, 23rd February 1886
