HISTORY

This is the Lothian house and the photograph comes from the Babington Collection.

DESCRIPTION

This image shows a pretty weatherboard house with a sloping roof and a four post ornamental verandah across the front. A lace curtain can be seen behind the window on the front left-hand side of the house. Two windows can be seen along the side. A large chimney can be seen at the rear of the house. A wooden fence runs along the side of the house and a wooden picket fence runs across the front. A small gate at the centre is open. A well established garden can be seen in the front yard behind the fence. A man is standing on the footpath at the right of the gate and a woman is standing on the verandah. A tall tree on at the far right-hand side of the house. A grassed footpath and a gravel road is in the foreground.
