HISTORYThis is the Noon Patience home in Skinner Street, Hastings, which was earlier owned by the Mentiplay Family. The bakers oven was the building on the right of the image. This photograph comes from the Betty Dalton Collection and was photographed/copied by Dr Bruce Bennett for the purpose of research or publication.
DESCRIPTIONThis image shows a timber house with a galvanized iron roof and a four post verandah across the front. A large set of windows are on either side of the front door. A low brick fence runs across the front between the house and the green grassed footpath. A bitumen road is in the foreground. A tree is on the footpath and large trees are on either side of the house. Part of a building showing a window can be seen between the trees on the right-hand side of the image. Colourful shrubs are behind the fence on the far left-hand side.
