HISTORYThis is the Noon Patience home in Skinner Street, Hastings, which was earlier owned by the Mentiplay Family. There was a bakers oven on the right-hand side of the house. This photograph comes from the Betty Dalton Collection and was photographed/copied by Dr Bruce Bennett for the purpose of research or publication.
DESCRIPTIONThis image shows a timber house with a galvanized iron roof and a four post verandah across the front. A large set of windows are on either side of the front door. Two sets of windows can be seen along the side of the house. A low brick fence runs across the front between the house and the green grassed footpath. An open iron gate is on the left-hand side of the image. A large tree is against the house on the left-hand side and tall trees are on the right-hand side of the house.
