HISTORY

This house is on the corner of Skinner and Herring Streets, Hastings. Noon Lothian lived in this house before moving to Skinner Street. The Steenholt family also lived in this house.

DESCRIPTION

This image shows a white weatherboard house with a grey sloping roof and verandah held up by four ornate posts and wrought-iron lace. Windows are on either side of the central front door. A brick chimney is on the right-hand side of the roof and a television antenna is beside it. A neatly trimmed hedge forms the front fence and a letter box is on the post beside a small white paling gate. Tall trees are on the left-hand side and behind the house. Smaller trees are on the right-hand side. A grassed footpath is in the foreground.
