HISTORYThis photo was taken in the early 1930s of the Hastings Cricket Club. The names of the players are as follows: back row, left to right: George Brewer, Basil Ward, Cyril Ward, Don Knox, Edie Goss, Ted Burgess. Front row, left to right: Bert Lettering, Robbie Greive, Gordon Whitlock, Arch McClement, Ralph Thompson and Perc Wilson. The man in the suit may be a policeman. The photograph comes from the Cyril Ward Collection and was photocopied/copied by Dr Bruce Bennett for the purpose of research or publication.
DESCRIPTIONThis image shows a group of twelve cricket players standing and kneeling in two rows, plus a man dressed in a white shirt, tie and suit who is standing at the far right-right hand side in the back row. There are six players standing in the back row and six players kneeling in the front row. The two players in the middle of the front row are holding cricket bats. Another player is kneeling on a cricket pad. A timber building is behind the group.
