HISTORY

Augustus Haebich migrated from Germany and settled at “Stanton” Bittern early in the nineteen hundreds. He was a butcher who travelled the district with horse and cart, selling his meat. On the back of the image is handwritten in ballpoint and pencil “August Haebich & butchers cart Bittern, Victoria” “Donated by Merle Haebich”
