HISTORYThe following is written on the back of the postcard: “ Dear Lil & Ma, Hoping this P.C. finds you all well as it leaves all at home same. Lil you will think I am a beauty not writing to you but its not because I don’t think of you well I was dreaming the other night about poor old Ma so I told Mother and she told me to write a few lines to see how you are keeping. Well Lil my Dream was that I saw you and you told me Ma was bed stricken. I was over at your place Ruby and silly me how I got there I don’t”. Also printed on the back is: ‘POST CARD Correspondence Address only Kodak’. This photograph comes from the Arthur Peterson Collection.
DESCRIPTIONThis postcard shows a group of four women and two children sitting and standing, posing for a photo. The three young women, dressed in white, are standing behind the older woman who is dressed in dark coloured clothes. The young girl is sitting to the right of the woman and the boy is sitting to the left of the woman. A piece is torn away from the top right-hand corner of the photograph.
