HISTORYThis is Allen Stanford who was a Crib Point fisherman. He had a 21 foot square ender with a half cabin. His father was W. Coveney Stanford who was born in Dover in 1840. He had a hotel in New Zealand before coming to Victoria to run the Royal Hotel at Hastings. This photo comes from the David Nilsson Collection. “Stanford on his boat” is written on the back of the photograph.
