HISTORYThis is the name board of the Public Works Department for the Port of Westernport. The following is written on the back of the photograph: “Ports & Harbours office Stony Point, Feb. ‘77. Name board made for the former Ports & Harbours Department when they operated the port. The Port is now known as the Port of Hastings. April 2004. Carved wooden boards made by Arthur Woodley of Crib Point. Toll, now operate the port”.
DESCRIPTIONThis image shows two sign boards attached to a brick wall. They read: “PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT” and “PORT OF WESTERNPORT”. A bar heater is attached to the wall underneath the signs and part of a two-door cupboard is at the bottom of the image.
