HISTORYThis photograph of the Hastings Cricket Club comes from the Mal Carmichael Collection. The names of the men are as follows: Back row: left to right: Frank Wavish, Bert Whitehead, Pompy Francis, ? Latchford (in the hat), Jack Ward, man from Navel Base and Hughie Carmichael. Middle row: left to right: Frank Mirabella, Bert LeHuray, Don Knox, Frank Allen or Nipper Floyd? and Frank (son of policeman). Front row: left to right: Sandy Mirabella and Dobbin Reid.
DESCRIPTIONThis image shows a cricket team standing, sitting and lying, posing for a photo. There are seven men standing in the back row, five men squatting in the middle row and two men half-lying on the grass at the front. An elderly man, dressed in a three piece suit and hat, is in the middle of the back row. Cricket stumps are in the ground between the two front players. They both have a cricket bat lying across their body. The two men on either end of the back row are holding a cricket bat. A banner with ?.C.A. Premiers is behind the group. Trees are in the background.
