HISTORYThis early 20th century stove was fully restored in September, 1980 by the 1xL Stove Works in Geelong. It was fitted into the galley on the National Trust’s restored ship the ‘Polly Woodside’. This stove was originally in the old Hastings Bakery. It was acquired from Mr Gus Kuhle of Merricks North. This information is printed in blue biro on the back of the photograph.
DESCRIPTIONThis image shows a fully restored stove standing in front of a cream coloured wall. It has two large oven doors and two smaller doors in the middle. The chimney has ‘1XL’ on the front. The second image shows the stove from a different angle with the addition of pots and pans and kitchenallia.
