HISTORY

The following is written on the back: “To Dear Little Alie & Aggie with best wishes from Maggie & Mick Xmas 1909”. Also printed on the back of the postcard in brown ink is: “TUCK’S POST CARD Carte Postale Postkarte (For Address Only) “Mother’s Darling” Series 8078 Raphael Tuck & Sons ‘Rapholette’ Art Publishers to their Majesties The King & Queen Processed in Saxony”. This postcard was donated by Mary Marshall.

DESCRIPTION

This image shows a little girl sitting at a small table. She is sitting on a red cushion on a carved stool. She appears to be writing a letter. There is a round tray at the bottom of the table. Her feet don’t touch the floor. She is dressed in a white tunic with frills at the neck, wrists and around the bottom of the skirt. She has blonde curly hair. A large gold coloured pot with ferns is on the floor and other pieces of furniture can be seen on either side. A patterned carpet is on the floor. The following is printed at the bottom of the image: “A LETTER FOR DADA Photochrome”.
