This building is Federal Parliament House in Melbourne taken between 1901 and 1927, the years between Federation and when Parliament moved to Canberra. The photograph is the home page of the Multimedia Catalogue in the State Library of Victoria. It was purchased by the Hastings-Western Port Historical Society. The Library Record Number: 1054326. DESCRIPTION

This image shows a magnificent building with tall columns. A fence on the far right-hand side of the image has thick shrubs behind it. Trees line the street on the far left-hand side. A motor vehicle and three horse-drawn vehicles are on the street. Printed at the top of the image is: “Federal Parliament House, Melbourne”.
